Volunteers Opportunities

Mother Care-Uganda  currently has volunteer opportunities aimed at providing care and support to the needy orphans and vulnerable children in Wakiso districts in Uganda. This provides an opportunity for volunteers to experience Ugandan while working to improve the lives of children.

Volunteers work in areas of

·        Teaching children at the centre

·        Health education (community outreach counseling and  care)

·        Care for infants in class

·         hygiene and HIV/AIDS education

·        Carry out education campaigns in communities

·        Assisting teachers

·        Assisting local Medical clinics

·        Help with Feeding

·         Vocation training and life skills

·        Administrative work

·        Adult literacy

·        Organizing play, arts and crafts, sport, art, games and academics.

·        Children’s rights campaigns (Preventing Violence against children)

·        Fight AIDS, teach children, work with community development in
villages; build schools, wells and clinics

·        Make home-visits assisting patients with medical and nutritional needs.

We are keen to hear from anyone interested in donating time for the benefit of the children. As education, health care, shelter and feeding are of paramount importance, we would like to hear from anyone willing to promote health and prevent illness in the community and with teaching skills to work at the Children's Centre on a voluntary basis.
